Clouds in blender 3d

Over past few days I've been looking into a quick method to make a better skybox for doom clone project.

This, unfortunately, sent me on a rabbit chase acrosss multiple tutorials dealing with blender's volumetric lighting.

A lot of tutorials spent a lot of time talking about unrelated matters, so I attempted to make a shorter, "distilled" version.

Unfortunately, I wasn't very successful, and only managed to cut length in half. Well, at least the text with explanations is on screen at all times.

I'm not happy with the second video, because it turned out way too long, and in the end is less informative than original tutorial by blenderguru.

In the end it turned out that my machine wasn't exactly fast for rendering volumetrics.

Oh well.

I suppose I'll just handpaint the skybox.
